Monday and a movie

Yesterday was one of those days when you feel like you have really accomplished something . Back to school and things went really well, get in time for exercise, time for personal studies and even managed to squeeze in a movie. Hubby and i are light years behind current movies for numbers of reasons, but not long ago we changed our cable service package to some deal that included HBO and show time, and now we have their movies available On Demand to watch when we can. We decided to catch Sex in the City, and we both got a good laugh at several parts. It was nice to kind of kick back together .

Mmmm... love Chicken Vesuvio! I have made Giada's and a Cooking Light version, both are terrific!

Your breakfasts look so good! I am struggling with weight loss and am on Weight Watchers. You mention pumpkin. What kind/how do you add this to your cereal? Also where do you get goji berries?

Pumpkin- I take the canned solid pack pumpkin and add it to the cooking water. For two people it is 2 cups water, one cup rolled oats and a half a can of pumpkin. Bring it to a boil and cook till the oats are swollen. The Goji berries are sold at our produce market- it is a Chicago area chain that carries all kinds of Mexican, Italian, Middle eastern and polish specialties. I have read about them but never have seen them carried anywhere else. I think you can get them online from one of several herb type stores.I add them because they are a strong antioxidant and they have been used in Chinese medicine to help the liver work more efficiently.
