Another weigh in, another show !

Weigh in this morning. Before stepping on , I remind myself of how I have been feeling since switching to this way of eating 2 weeks ago. My body feels energized- in the way that you feel after a long nap while on vacation. No cravings, more clear headed, more energy and overall a whole lot better. That in itself is reason to eat this way for the rest of my life. So I step onto the scale and see what the numbers say.

242.6 - DOWN another 2.2 !

Yay me !! The guys follow suit , and the results are in
Hubby ( still doing Weight Watchers but moving closer to this way) -0.4
Son- UP 2.6 , and I think it is from sodium ( we had Subway for dinner and he chose ham and cheese)

Yesterday started out as another whirlwind of rushing , and it was only going to get worse if we stuck to the plan of doing the mausoleum 1k ( It is insane how much we have to re-arange a whole week just to get a free day), so I asked the guys if we could just skip it and spend a normal Saturday . The last 2 Saturdays have gotten thrown off course because of Funerals and Saturday night masses ( leaves NO time to do any of the normal Saturday must do things) So they agreed- happily- and life got a little easier

Breakfast was oatmeal with apples, blueberries, figs and goji berries with cinnamon. The apple was a little on the large size and it made the bowl fuller than that of previous days. Really filling and it held us well into lunch.

Lunch was the rest of the Anticancer soup with a whole wheat pita stuffed with baby spinach and guacamole hummus ( avocado, garbanzo, lemon juice, sesame seeds, garlic and olive oil). I discovered 6 avocados in the bottom of my crisper drawer that needed to be used , so one went into lunch. I am thinking of using 2 others later today as a masque for my face and hair. Winter can be really harsh on these !

I also discovered 3 crowns of broccoli that I bought last week and forgot so I made some broccoli salad to go with the planned Subway run. I had a 12 inch veggie delight , son chose the ham and I think after using no salt for 2 weeks his system became very sodium sensitive and it showed up as a gain. No worry- it will come off and there are so many benefits to this way of eating we are not going to change.
