Articles on adrenal stress and caffeine
Here is a link to a very informative page about Adrenal Fatigue . It is an underlying factor in many health issues, and can seriously hamper weight loss attempts.
A related or linked page talks about the problems with caffeine
Okay, you are officially hired as my new "doctor"! What a great article - thank you!!! I have EVERY one of those symptoms and have had them for quite a while. I do notice that I "feel" better when I take my Vitamin C and sublingual B12, so according to the article, I will definitely keep up with that and add some calcium/magnesium to it, too. Ah, now only if I could get to sleep to 9 a.m.! Life would be perfect ;)
If I got to sleep till 9 am I think the earth would fall off it's axis , day would become night and dogs and cats would live together ! Still, it is indeed a goal to shoot for. Another thing that helps is adding sea salt to your food. It is so very hard to do this in light of all of the common current wisdom about having things lo sodium or salt free, but in the case of adrenal stress you really do need it. It is all the trace minerals that does the trick, and the same things prevent the sodium problems in ther body. Don't go nuts, but a little light seasoning with sea salt is a very good thing.
